Dr. Robby Ayoub is a graduate of the Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Science in New Jersey, where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care. He started his practice in Fountain Valley, CA in August of 2009. Dr. Ayoub is always updated on the latest diagnosis and treatment of lung disease, and is considered one of the most successful physicians in Orange County. During your office visit, Dr. Ayoub will go in detail over your medical health issues. 

Being internal Medicine Board Certified, he is updated on all your general health problems. Using a state of the art electronic medical record system, Dr. Ayoub will conduct a thorough physical exam, and will walk you through the multi-system anatomy and physiology, explaining to you with images and details your symptoms and the potential patho-physiology of your treatment.

Being Pulmonary board certified, he specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions affecting the respiratory system including lungs and airways, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary infections, pneumonia, tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, pulmonary nodules, lung cancer, and acute and chronic respiratory failure. He has on-site a full pulmonary function testing (PFP), cardiopulmonary exercise testing, indirect and direct pulmonary challenge testing such as methalcholine, hypertonic saline challenge testing, and exercise challenge testing.

Being sleep medicine board certified, he specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea (CSA), insomnia, narcolepsy, restlesness neck syndrome (RLS), parasomnias, circadian rhythm sleep disorders (e.g. shift work disorder, delayed sleep phase syndrome, advanced sleep phase syndrome), hypersomnia disorder. He has on-site his own specialized sleep lab that conducts full polysomnography (PSG), multiple sleep latency tests (MSIT), and maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT). Moreover, if you are eligible, he can send you for home sleep apnea testing (HSAT). He can treat obstructive sleep apnea  (OSA) with the specific PAP therapy that’s needed such as cPAP, ByPAP, AutoPAP, and he send you for mandibular advancement device treatment, as well as sleep apnea laser therapy. He can refer you for a hypoglossal nerve stimulator, such as Inspire Sleep Apnea Innovation.

Being critical care board certified as intensivist, he specializes in managing critical ill patients with respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, sepsis and septic shock, neurological emergencies, renal failure and metabolic disorders, multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, postoperative critical care medicine, as well as poisoning and toxicology cases. He has experience in bronchoscopy, EBUS, endotracheal intubation, central venous and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, percutaneous tracheostomy, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and lumbar puncture.
